Seit ungefähr 15 Jahren trage ich bei meinen Shows die Kinderhymne von Berthold Brecht vor. Besonders auf der Strasse führt das zu einer, vom Publikum unerwarteten, Vertiefung der Athmosphäre. Die englische Version siehe unten.

Anmut sparet nicht, noch Mühe

Leidenschaft nicht, noch Verstand

Das ein gutes Deutschland blühe,

Wie ein and'res gutes Land.

Das and're Völker nicht erbleichen,

Wie vor einer Räuberin,

Sondern Ihre Hände reichen

Uns, wie and'ren Völkern hin.

Und nicht über und nicht unter

And'ren Ländern woll'n wir sein,

Von der See bis zu den Alpen,

Von der Oder bis zum Rhein.

Und weil wir das Land verbessern

Lieben und beschirmen wir's

That other people need not fear us

And towards us as towards others
